Is it true that if a union is voted in and the contract is not ratified we still do not have a union, And what happens if we as a group decide that is is not working during the contract phase?

A quote from Phil Cooper.

"If you vote yes in the election, all you have voted for was the opportunity to negotiate your first contract. Once we ( the Union, my labor attorney and the committee members, MCC employees) reach what is called a tentative agreement, their will be a ratification vote on the contract. Vote yes, you become Teamsters, vote no, the Teamsters walk away. In my opinion, you really have nothing to lose by trying the process. If we can't get you in writing the things you are looking for, then vote no, no harm no foul.
